HELP WANTED No driving required!
Can you help with phone calling? When new members join our church, they fill out a sheet indicating their areas of interest. We need help in phoning new members and lining them up with
organizations where they can participate. This is a very important function; a list of contact people and phone numbers will be provided. If you can help with this, contact Dale Laurin at 982-4062.
NEW Bible Study: A Sacred Duty
It is said that the friendly study of the world's religions
is a sacred duty. Indeed, with so much tension existing
between people of different faiths it is sometimes a difficult goal to study others' faith. With that in mind and knowing that here at Mountain View there is a major interest in world religions we are offering a new course on the religions of the globe. Starting February 28 @ 9:15am the Sunday morning Bible study, A Sacred Duty, will take all participants through a multi-week study of the world's religions from Buddhism to Islam and New Age to
Indigenous Religion. Each study will not only feature an in-depth overview of the major facets of each religion, but also a valuable discussion on how Christians can witness to people of other faiths. Questions, comments or suggestions should be directed toward Ken Chitwood, Family and Youth Ministry Assistant and Sacred Duty study co-ordinator. ken.chitwood@hotmail.com (480) 318 8551.

OUTREACH/EVANGELISM COMMITTEE PROGRAMS
We are beginning a campaign of outreach that Apache Junction has not ever seen before.
Several programs are planned to activate our congregation and bring in the unchurched and stagnated christians. Pastor reported that over 80 percent of the Arizona population do not attend regular church services. We are not paying attention to the Great Commission! Prayerfully consider becoming a program manager or
participant in one of the following programs.
TRANSPORTATION - Need to coordinate volunteers that are willing to bring folks to church and the people who are shut-ins, who don't have vehicles, etc. Eventually, there is a plan to obtain a van or mini-bus for the church.
YOUTH CENTER - Provide a center to be used by Ken Chitwood with stuffed chairs, juice bar, games, and christian supervision. This will be a draw for local young people. We have a donation already offered from a person not associated with us.
OUTSIDE EVENTS - Regular programs for events in neighborhoods, or, parks. Cowboy services, sidewalk Bible Study, Roaming VBS, Parades, etc.
Seeing Jesus in New and Exciting Ways - With Your Help!
To become a Sunday School volunteer is to offer a special kind of ministry, one where the volunteer enables a child to see Jesus in new and exciting ways. Recently I asked the children what their favorite part about Sunday School is, they responded saying:
"Being with friends!" "Playing games and doing plays." "Learning about God." "Doing crafts." "Eating cookies!"
The children of Mountain View love Sunday School and the Sunday School needs more volunteers, people who want to teach, be a helper, play piano, help with crafts, direct or help with plays (like the Christmas production) or assist in any way that matches an individual's gifts. LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED - THIS MAY BE THE VOLUNTEER CALLING YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! Contact either Ken Chitwood (ken.chitwood@hotmail.com) or [480] 318 8551 or Bonnie Gregrow (bjgregrow@hotmail.com) or leave your name with the church office and we will be in contact with you!
