Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) Investors

I personally thank you for having invested in LCEF. By investing in LCEF you are assured that the funds will be loaned to LCMS congregations to build churches, schools and other church related buildings. Also loans are made to meet needs of LCMS church workers. Investments in banks, stocks, bonds, etc are used for numerous secular purposes, maybe even financing a casino. I have one question, have you     designated a beneficiary's for your LCEF investment? If not you should do so as soon as possible. Including Mountain View as a beneficiary for a portion of your investment would be a great idea. If you have any question, please contact me, Evert Mueller, LCEF representative, at 480-986-1449.

What is an "Associate Member"?

Many winter visitors are active members in their home congregation "up north". For those who are attending here 3 or more months, we offer "associate membership".  You do not have to transfer from your home church.   Associate members may vote in meetings, have a record kept of contributions, receive monthly newsletters, and in all other ways be considered a member of Mountain View.

                                                    This just in!

The high school youth group is starting a fundraiser to help support various activities like mission trips (like a mission trip to an orphanage in Mexico in March 2012), sponsoring children through World Vision, and more!

The youth group has unlimited use discount cards available for $10 each. On the front of the cards is a wonderful picture of Mountain View Lutheran Church and on the back you can find 16 deals to local area businesses. Some of the deals include 30% off at Papa John's Pizza, 10% off at Village Inn, and deals at Jess's Creamery and Gold Canyon Cafe.

We will be selling the cards before and after the Worship Services. Checks can be made payable to: Mountain View Lutheran Church.

All in all a card will easily pay for itself and is a great way to support our high school youth as we try to make a difference by the power of God by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ locally and around the world!
